Former Conservative leader Iain Duncan Smith stood outside the parish church in Chatteris today to preach his message of “hope not fear”
He was on a whistle stop tour of the Fens that later included Wisbech before heading to Kings Lynn.
Support for his Chatteris visit had been drummed up by local UKIP councillor Richard Mandley.
Mr Duncan Smith insisted that Brexit is not gambling with the economy.
He told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: “The biggest gamble is staying in with a sclerotic European Union.”
