A horse was rescued by fire crew when it got stuck in the river at Mepal.
Crews from Cambridge and Chatteris were called to help a horse trapped in the river near Mepal on Saturday morning (13).
A spokesman said: “They arrived to find a horse stuck in mud in the water.
“Using their in-water kit they entered the river to help release the horse and lead it onto the bank and safely away from the area.”
A video on the Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Facebook page shows a crew in their kit keeping the horse calm while they prepare to lead it onto the bank.
