A horse was hoisted to safety after getting trapped in a water filled ditch in Thorney.
Fire crews from Dogsthorpe and Wisbech were called to the scene on Saturday.
Pictures posted on social media showed straps being secured to the horse’s body before being lifted out by a digger.
Cambs Fire and Rescue tweeted: “This lucky horse had a fortunate escape on Saturday after becoming trapped in a water filled ditch in Thorney.
“Crews from Dogsthorpe & @cfrs_wisbech were called to the scene, and working with the owners & a vet, were able to lift the horse to safety #TeamCambsFire #NotJustFires”
