About 60 people made the most of Sunday's hot weather to support Chatteris St John Ambulance's fund-raising fun afternoon.

Lucky number stalls, hook a duck games and guessing the name of teddy bears helped to raise the money at Dunhams Wood, March. St John Ambulance collected the proceeds from entry to the wood and from their stalls.

Lillian Oakey, divisional superintendent at Chatteris St John Ambulance, said: "We made £135. It is not an awful lot but the day was so hot people must have either stayed in or gone to the coast.

"But it was £135 we did not have before so we are grateful to the Dunhams for letting us do it.
