LABRADORS, collies and boxers filled the classrooms as staff at a March primary school brought their pets in for ‘Doggy Day’.
Children walked into Westwood Junior School last Friday to find that several canine visitors were patrolling the corridors.
The star guest was an 11-month old Irish Wolfhound, which towered over the other dogs... and some of the children.
The school’s pupils were given details on all of the pets before using the information in their written work.
Staff from the RSPCA Block Fen Animal Centre also visited the school to give the children a special talk.
