IN response to the letter written by John Tully in this weeks edition of the Cambs Times - we too are experiencing exactly the same hum/drone that Mr Tully refers to in his letter the only difference is we live in Benwick Road in Doddington.
We noticed the start of this noise a week ago and its unbearable at night - I personally have tried wearing earplugs and sleeping in different rooms of the house. When we go out of the house it doesn’t make any difference to the noise. Our thoughts were similar to Mr Tully in that we thought it could be a fan, a generator or maybe something to do with the turbines. We are at a total loss as to what the noise is and where it is coming from and really do feel like moving out as we can’t get to sleep.
