Hundreds of homes across March are either without water or experiencing low pressure after Anglian Water discovered a burst water main.

Although the company has not said whereabouts it is, social media posts today suggest it is within the vicinity of Whitemoor Prison.

“We’re really sorry but some customers in March may have very low water pressure or no water at all,” said a spokesman for Anglian Water. The company says it is working hard to get it fixed and resume normal service.

“This should be by 1pm today but we’ll update this is anything changes,” said the spokesman.

Anglian Water warned that once supplies resume the water may look a little cloudy or discoloured.

“Just run your tap for a few minutes and it should clear,” said the spokesman.
