Hundreds were left with huge smiles on their faces after another successful Whittlesey festival.

Families enjoyed a display of vintage vehicles, music, magic and even a World War Two flypast of a Spitfire and Lanacaster Bomber on September 11.

Mayor of Whittlesey, Councillor Alex Miscandlon was also seen surveying the array of stalls and attractions last Sunday.

The day began with a spectacular parade from the Whittlesey Christian Church in Broad Street, before the Romford Drum and Trumpet Corp and Peterborough Highland Band brought the sun and fun-filled day to a close.

The festival was a big hit with those who attended on social media, with one saying: “Was this the best festival ever? In my opinion yes, so a big well done to the organisers and thanks for a great day.”
