Response to a letter in the Cambs Times from “Name and and Address Supplied” on January 11. Yes, I do write letters to the press, national as well as local. I very much doubt if I can get one published every week.

My letters are not abusive or nasty, controversial maybe, and no doubt they would upset or annoy certain people, probably those who write letters and don’t want their names published.

I suggest the person responsible for the letter abusing me, should occasionally write to the press themselves, and publish their name and address. Perhaps they would like to join me in a cup of tea or coffee and have a chat. They would then see I am nothing like they would depict me.

In any event, I will continue to write to the press and hope that some of them are published. For the life of me, I cannot understand why anyone should object about letters to newspapers. It has been going on since time immemorial, all the national red top broadsheets thrive on letters.
