A determined team of local fitness fanatics broke through the pain barrier and pedalled for six-hours – all in the name of charity.
More than 20 fundraisers saddled up and clocked a whopping 3,750 miles between them on spinning bikes to raise £2,000 for Magpas Air Ambulance last Sunday (December 4).
The ambitious fundraising mission was the idea of spinning instructor and retained crew commander for Cambridgeshire Fire and Resuce, Wayne Marshall.
He said: “I work with these guys very closely and get to see first-hand the amazing life-saving work they do.”
He was joined by colleague Tony Raine, who said: “It was a great team effort; everyone showed so much commitment and dedication to the day and it was really well supported.
“Thank you to New Vision Fitness and Andy Cornwell for the use of the venue and bikes and sponsors LF Logistics of March, Turners of Soham, Life Fitness, Giant Road Cycles, Athlet UniCarrier’s and G’s Fresh Beetroot.”
