A warning has gone out from Cambs police after five catalytic converters were stolen in one night in the March area.

Julie Bailey, crime prevention and community safety officer for Fenland, said: “Overnight on July 30, five vehicles in the March area had their catalytic converters stolen.

“Please could I ask if any residents saw or heard anything unusual please call Cambridgeshire constabulary on the non emergency number 101 or call crime stoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”

She said that where possible if you have 4 x 4 type vehicles and work vans please ensure that you park them in such a way that it makes it difficult for the offenders to gain access.

“Unusually on this occasion a Peugeot 406 was one of the vehicles targeted,” she said.
