Five masked raiders with sledgehammers burgled a shop in Isleham last night.

Detectives are now appealing for witnesses following the incident at the Co-Op in West Street at 11.25pm last night.

Five men in balaclavas used sledge hammers to smash the window and then stole cigarettes from behind the till.

They then made off in a coupe style vehicle along Mill Street and Malting Lane.

Detective Sergeant, Emma Smith, said: ā€œIā€™m keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen these men or the vehicle in the moments leading up to and after the burglary.ā€
