As the summer term draws to a close, New Road Primary School in Whittlesey will be going to the ball.
The children have been busy rehearsing for their end of year production of ‘Cinderella and Rockerfella’, a lively musical tale of Cinders and Rocky, the artist formerly known as Prince Charming.
With humour, songs and dancing, the children are looking forward to entertaining family and friends at their performances this week.
Playing the parts of the Ugly Sisters are Chloe and Lyla who have been bringing their own special brand of humour to the rehearsals.
“We have created a very good partnership and had a lot of fun,” said Lyla. “Our favourite part is definitely our song, ‘I’m so in love with me’,” added Chloe.
Head of School, Stuart Mallott said “A production like this gives everyone in the school the chance to work together and the children have definitely risen to the challenge.”
‘Cinderella and Rockerfella’ is one of a range of school musicals written by Out of the Ark.
