SWIMMERS from Cavalry Primary School in March are celebrating after winning an inter-schools competition for the third year running.

The primary school pupils beat off stiff competition in both individual and team events to the delight of swimming teacher Nicola Stacey. She took over teaching swimming three years ago and says the pupils work very hard to achieve the outstanding results.

She said: “I was really, really pleased for them because they have trained very hard. The level of swimming was exceptional this year and it was very competitive”.

The event was held at the George Campbell Leisure Centre and the 22 Cavalry pupils competed against swimmers from All Saints, Burrowmoor and Westwood schools.
