A florist with a difference opened in Wisbech on Saturday with 90pc of the shop being fitted out with recycled or second hand fixtures.
And owner Donna Willingham also promised that support for local growers and suppliers was at the top of her agenda.
She said: “Our ultimate aim is to bring a little style and luxury to Wisbech at affordable prices, and to support the local community.”
The mayor, Samantha Hoy, performed the official opening of The Country Garden Florist which Mrs Willingham believes will be “a little different from all the other florists in Wisbech and our home town of Peterborough.”
She said that apart from support for local growers “we will aim to create classic arrangements using English country-style flowers alongside Dutch blooms, which will ensure the very best quality”.
