A March radio presenter has been given his own show on BBC Radio Cambridgeshire.

With his mic and his map John Devine says he is ready to hit the road for his new show “Devine County” this Sunday, April 2 at 8.30am until 10am.

John told us: “I’m very excited about this new show which will an exploration of our fine County, with me hopefully finding some interesting people with fascinating stories, they’ll be great music too as well as weather, travel and news updates.”

Episode one will feature George Formby phoning a Fenland dentist, an 81 year-old who has for the first time found himself out of work, the luckiest horse in Cambridgeshire and why Johnny Dee became John Devine.

• You can tune to 95.7/96fm 1026mw DAB and Freeview 722. The show will be repeated on Mondays at 3pm, and it’ll be available to listen again via the BBC Radio Cambridgeshire web-page.
