Kevin Tall of Chatteris is the Regional Syngenta Farm Sprayer Operator of the Year
for 2006.
With more than 20 years' experience, he is responsible for the spraying over 1,800 hectares of cropping for A & EG Heading Ltd.
The Farm Sprayer Operator of the Year Awards, sponsored by Syngenta in association with Farmers Weekly, were made by Shadow Agriculture Minister James Paice, at the International Sprays and Sprayers event, held as part of Cereals 2006 at Nocton, Lincolnshire.
Crops managed by Mr Tall include cereals, sugar beet, peas and potatoes, which calls for a wide range of skills and knowledge.
In common with all professional farm sprayers, Mr Tall, pictured here at work near Chatteris, is a member of the National Register of sprayer Operators and attends regular training meetings to keep up to date with latest innovations.
