Student David Ashworth scored one of the highest marks in the country in GCSE Applied ICT.
Edexcel, the UK's largest awarding body, says the Sir Harry Smith Community College student was among the top 10.
David was among the 14,843 candidates who sat the Applied ICT: Double Award exam.
Jerry Jarvis, Edexcel's managing director, said: "This is a tremendous achievement and testament to the hard work students put into preparing for their examinations. We send our congratulations to David."
It is a double celebration for the college - we recently featured fellow student Christopher Moore, who scored one of the top five marks in the country in English Literature.
