TEENAGERS from the Smarteenies – an advice group which reviews the effect of alcohol on young people – were nominated for the Kids Are Alright in March.
The group, which has been around for just over a year, is part of Drinksense and aims to inform young people about alcohol related issues.
Members aged 13-18 meet for an hour every fortnight to discuss the risks associated with alcohol, the law in relation to young people and how to stay safe.
The group had designed a new campaign leaflet and secured funding to launch an anti-social behaviour programme for Year 8 students at schools in March and Wisbech.
