CHATTERIS Girls Under-11s enjoyed a magical week last month as they tasted cup-final glory to earn a Kids Are Alright nomination.
The young side bounced back from a heartbreaking loss in last year’s final to beat Hormead Hares 2-0 to claim the Cambridgeshire Cup.
Assistant manager Nigel Titford said: “Last year we went to the cup final and lost and there were a lot of tears. The big advantage this year was that we were more determined.
“The girls are committed and come to training every week. It is not just about the football – they are also a great team.”
