THE committal of Michael Eke to Crown Court has been delayed by two weeks - because his solicitor is still ploughing through 4,500 pieces of paper involved in the case.The former flight lieutenant of March Air Training Corps was due to be committed to Cambridge Crown Court on Tuesday, facing charges of fraud, deception and theft - but has been told to come back for the hearing on Valentine's Day, February 14.Fenland magistrates were less than impressed to be told that Eke's defence received the papers only a couple of weeks ago from the Crown Prosecution Service, and were not ready for the hearing."We allowed eight weeks for the commital to be prepared, and were assured it would get to the defence solicitor in time for him to thoroughly review it," said presiding magistrate Jane Melloy. "Two extra weeks were given and still our directions were not complied with."Eke, 37, of Plover Drive, March, faces a total of 30 charges.
