A SPECIAL boat launch was held when Whittlesea Street Pride Group celebrated the completion of the fourth Gateway project.
Whittlesea Wayfarer has been placed in the town’s Station Road and will provide an attractive floral focus.
The boat was donated to the group and sponsored by Alec Head of Decker Bus and Grass Routes Community Grants.
Whittlesea Street Pride has collected more than five tons of rubbish and litter, as well as a large number of tyres. More than 1,000 hours of volunteer time has been contributed to various projects around the town this year.
