It snowed in Doddington on Saturday especially for the annual Christmas lights switch-on.
The event, which included a festive fayre, saw revellers covered in a dusting of fake snow as part of the fun.
Father Christmas was on hand in his special grotto to take those last minute present wishes from children and the Allgoods School of Dance provided entertainment in the village hall.
The grand switch-on was completed by this year’s Doddington Carnival Prince and Princess who flicked the switch at the clock tower, where there was also some festive singing during the late afternoon.
The Christmas Fayre included craft stalls and games.
