I warned that paid parking was on the agenda a year ago.
I also warned that the comprehensive spending review would simply delay it and that it would return at the end of the year.
I have said from the outset I will not support it and that I feel it would be disastrous for our Fenland towns.
I can assure you that my position has not changed and that I will oppose this ill-considered policy at every opportunity.
