Last week I visited the wildlife centre at Welney, and as I walked across a prefabricated bridge to watch the swans feed, I wondered if any of Ely council had been there and seen how simple it can be to get from one side of a road to the other!
That construction could not have cost millions, and would solve the problem of safe access to the new cinema and sports complex being built across the A10.
A light controlled crossing would be suicidal on that road, so why not a bridge?
