Armed Forces day in Wisbech was well supported on Sunday in Wisbech Market Place, with lots of organisations marking the day with respect, and with a great deal of voluntary effort that was lost on Wisbech Town Council.
Sadly the council completely neglected to take into account any of the basic needs of the hundreds of people who turned out – there were no toilets on site.
How on earth can the town council be involved in the organisation of such an important event in the annual calendar with no prior proper preparation.
Fortunately COSTA came to the rescue and opened up their toilets for people. They provided the only toilets in the Market Place.
Well done COSTA – extremely poor show, Wisbech Town Council.
