Wisbech Town FC supporters club entered Fenny the Fenman into a race that was held at Wetherby.

The money raised was by Wisbech Town FC players and supporters sponsoring him to complete an obstacle course dressed as a mascot over one furlong of Wetherby racecourse.

There were 130 mascots in total and approximately £23,000 was raised for Sue Ryder and £180 raised for A Local Wish.

A Local Wish is a local charity which supports people and small projects within the local community, the latest project supported by the charity was two picnic benches for a village playing field.

A Local Wish will be looking at 2016 and if anyone feels they need the charity’s help towards a good cause please contact Christina Purcell via email: Christina@holidaywithus.co.uk
