LETTER: Wisbech shoeboxes are bound for Syrian refugee children

The Oasis Christian Bookshop in Norfolk Street, Wisbech, would like to thank all the churches and individuals who brought in shoeboxes filled with gifts and wrapped in Christmas paper.

The representatives from the Samaritan’s Purse charity collected 151 boxes from us on Friday and they were very pleased - we made a chain of volunteers down the stairs and got the boxes quickly into the van.

This year our shoeboxes are going to northern Iraq to be given to Syrian refugee children in the camps there.

They will be transported along with tents, blankets and other items to help in that situation. So once again, thank you very much for your care and kindness.
