Actions promised include an intensive training programme for all staff involved in letter writing, councillors were told at their meeting last Thursday.A new correspondence management system is also being launched in April "to enable robust monitoring and reporting" to senior managers and councillors. And under the banner 'Crystal Clear' the council announced it is to join the Plain English Campaign with the aim of ensuring "all our printed literature is clear, concise and reader friendly".The council also heard that in recognition of the number of people from other countries now settling in Fenland, council literature is to produced in other languages.
