EAST Cambridgeshire and Fenland employees of Cambridgeshire County Council have been rewarded for their long service at a special ceremony at Shire Hall.
Four members of staff were presented with Long Service Awards after each completing 25 years or more with the authority.
They were joined by a further 15 long-serving members of staff from other parts of the county, who were presented with their awards by County Council Chairman John Powley, Acting Executive Director for Community and Adult Services Pat Harding, Service Director for Children’s Social Care in Children and Young People’s Services Niki Clemo and Service Director for Infrastructure and Management in Environment Services John Onslow.
The East Cambridgeshire and Fenland recipients included recently retired Westwood Junior School teacher Sue Rutter, Recycling Bus driver Nick King, March-based Looked After Children Team Manager Sara Wilson and Ely-based Business Support Assistant Karen Wilkinson.
Council chairman John Powley said: “Everyone receiving awards did so because of the outstanding contribution they have made to Cambridgeshire County Council and the many services it provides. I am delighted their loyal service and dedication has been recognised and I am very pleased to be a part of that. Congratulations to them all.”
