ALL work stopped at a Wisbech printing firm in August 1956 for a special presentation to two long-serving employees. Two compositors, who had each completed more than 50 years service with Balding and Mansell Ltd, were presented with gold pocket watches.

Two compositors, who had each completed more than 50 years' service with Balding and Mansell Ltd, were presented with gold pocket watches.
The men at the centre of attention were George Duffield of Victoria Road, Wisbech, (third from left), and Horace Brown of Ramnoth Road, Wisbech, (fourth from left). Others in the picture (left to right) are: Mrs A McDonough, Mr McDonough, Mr H R Hammerton, Mrs Hammerton, Mr Charles Mansell (managing director), Mrs Mansell and Miss Jane Mansell.
The presentation was held in the composing room and was witnessed by all the staff.
