Long Sutton Barns has hosted two craft fairs since it was transformed by volunteers in February.

The centre is gearing up for its first photographic exhibition and a craft fair will be held on the first full weekend of each month, with the next one scheduled for May 3-5.

The centre’s walls are covered with the work of Peterborough artists the Bloc Collective.

There is also a stained glass workshop, lampwork tuition, crochet lessons, resin work, mosaics and ceramic painting for both adults and children.

Duncan Barker-Magowan, of Glass by DnR, said: “We are still looking for sponsors and tradesmen to help with certain jobs within the centre.

“We have a couple of small business start ups waiting to enter their units but we still need them plastered and boarded.

“We also need a couple of walls built and windows and doors sorting out.

“We have had flooring sorted, toilets built and disabled toilets done. Shy of more painting it is all looking great.”

This weekend, the barns hosts its first boot fair, which will raise funds for the venue and a hospice.

Fees are £5 for a car. £7 car and trailer or small van. £10 large van and trailer. No counterfeit goods or pets allowed.
