IT was a special moment for marathon man David Hood on Wednesday when he handed over the proceeds of his marathon effort.
He raised an impressive £1,720 for the Brain and Spine Foundation when he ran the London marathon in April in a time of three hours 53 minutes.
Mr Hood, of Fleetwood Close, March, thanked all his sponsors for supporting him and revealed that the charity has raised more than £100,000 from this event. "Be assured that the Foundation does its best to make the money work as hard as possible to help those with brain and spine concerns", he said. "Your support has been greatly appreciated and will make a real difference to the future.
