MORE than 100 disabled people braved the rain for the annual Fendis Golf and Fun Day - and they were rewarded with a visit from powerlifter Tom Baty.
Tom, 28, who has Down’s Syndrome, showed off the Olympic torch he was given after he carried the flame through Felixstowe last night.
Dozens of carers and volunteers were also present for today’s fun day at the Priory Gold Centre in Wimblington.
Heavy rain and high winds could not prevent the event, which was organised by Fenland’s Disability Sports Forum (Fendis) and Fenland District Council, from going without a hitch.
