RETIRED greyhounds in need of a new home will be at the Asda store in Wisbech later this month, along with representatives from the Lincolnshire Greyhound Trust.

Trust chairman Kevin Stow said: “We have around 25 greyhounds looking for loving homes as pets. Greyhounds are very lazy, low maintenance dogs and fit in very well to most types of home situations.”

Kevin started the charity in 1998, and over the past 15 years they have re-homed 1,121 retired racing greyhounds. “We re-homed 125 greyhounds last year, and have already found new homes for 22 more this year,” he added.

“More and more people are finding out what great pets they make. We deal with owners and trainers, and if everyone pulls together we can achieve success.”

The greyhounds will be at the Asda store in North End on Saturday and Sunday, March 9 and 10, between 10am and 4pm.
