A FENLAND company is lighting the way by developing a lamp holder system for low energy light bulbs.TP24, in Station Road, Chatteris, has launched the Kyoto range of low energy lighting fittings for new homes, based on the lamp holder design, at the Lighting Show, at Birmingham NEC.Shaun Davis, TP24's managing director, said: "We already supply several major house builders, who offer our lights to new homebuyers as extras for their homes. "We know our clients wanted affordable, good looking low energy lighting to suit any room in the house and we feel we've managed to achieve it with this range."All new homes built in this country must be fitted with low energy products and meet building regulations.TP24's Kyoto range is up of 40 modern products, including spot lights, pendants, flush fittings, wall lights and table lamps, which all meet these guidelines.The lamp holder, called L1, is British patent pending, and light bulbs used in these fittings will last between three and five years, giving an 80 per cent saving on electricity.Mr Davis said: "This is an exciting time for us. We've never exhibited at the Lighting Show before, only visited. We feel we have this unique product on offer and we want to get ourselves noticed."We are already looking into new models and new designs for the fittings."TP24 is the lighting part of the Seymour Group, which also includes Seymour Design, a showhouse specialist set up in 1987.
