A DAY of Music Making at Emmanuel Church, Chatteris, on Saturday raised £653 for church funds.
"It was a very successful day and was a super event - better than we had ever dreamed," said organiser Sheila Shipp.
A whole range of music was performed including solo artists, groups, the Emmanuel choir, a trombonist, clarinettist and an opera singer. Each artist had a 30-minute slot over the six-hour performance.
More than 100 meals were served throughout the day, and the event attracted crowds from out of town and people who had never visited the church before. "It was a lovely family event and a great day was had by all," commented Mrs Shipp.
