Fund raising events by two youngsters have become music to the ears of the Rosmini Centre in Wisbech who have been inspired to offer a short course to teach people how to make their own harp.
Sisters 12 year old Bonnie, who attends Witchford Village College and nine year old Rosie Scott, who attends Lionel Walden Primary in Doddington, raised £252.54 by playing their harps at three events across Cambridgeshire.
The money is to buy a harp for a 10 year old autistic boy who has limited speech but enjoys making music.
The harp will be made by woodworker and Rosmini Centre volunteer Jon Wickes.
Thanks to the teamwork the Rosmini Centre decided to offer a short course for anyone interested in making their own harp.
The six week course begins on November 5 and costs £120 which includes all the materials needed to make the instrument.
Anyone interested should call Anita Grodkiewicz on 07525-837512.
