MAKING pictures in wood proved to be a fascinating hobby for Geoffrey Rumblo of Bramley House, Christchurch.
Mr Rumblo was pictured in 1955 with some of his pictures. Although many people were interested in buying them he decided to keep his interest as a hobby rather than turn it into a business.
He first became interested in marquetry when he had to spend time in a convalescent home in Felixstowe.
A farmer, who worked with his two brothers at Walpole St Peter, Mr Rumblo incorporated many farming scenes in his pictures.
