An 18-year-old man was left hospitalised with serious injuries after two men used a metal bar to assault him in Chatteris yesterday.

The incident happened between 5pm and 7pm at the recreation park off Wenny Road.

The victim was taken to Hinchingbrooke hospital with serious injuries.

PC Kurt Allen said: “I would like to speak to anyone who may have seen these two men in the area around this time.”
