A 42-YEAR-OLD man has today been charged with assault following an attack at a house in Eastrea.
A police hunt began after a man was seriously assaulted at a property in Mayfield Road at around 11pm on Friday. Forensic teams visited the property on Saturday as officers tried to trace the suspect.
A 42-year-old man, from Eastrea, was arrested this morning and has now been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent.
The victim’s injuries were not life-threatening.
