Man alleged to have carried out multiple frauds against people in March appears before Cambridge court

A man who is alleged to have carried out multiple frauds against people in March appeared before magistrates last Thursday.

Matthew Holloway, 46, of Northfields, Syston, Leicester, appeared before Cambridge magistrates.

The charges relate to alleged high-value frauds against people in March, Cambridgeshire.

Holloway was remanded in custody to HMP Peterborough. The next hearing will take place at Peterborough Crown Court on July 7.

Holloway is believed to be behind a number of frauds in Cambridgeshire worth a total of more than £100,000.

The frauds involved a claim by Holloway that he had a multi-million pound trust fund but required a loan from the victim to pay fees in order access the money.
