Police have arrested a man after a cannabis factory was uncovered yesterday.
Officers raided an address on Holts Lane, Hilgay, yesterday afternoon where they discovered 16 cannabis plants and a significant quantity of ground-up cannabis. A range of drug related paraphernalia was also seized.
A male, aged in his 50s, was arrested on suspicion of drug offences somewhere else in the area. He has been released on conditional police bail until next month pending further enquiries.
Sgt Marcus Rowe, from Downham Market, said: “We continue to put pressure on those involved with drugs in and around Downham Market and residents can be reassured information passed to officers will be acted on.”
Anyone concerned about illegal drug activity in the community can speak to a member of their local safer neighbourhood team by calling 101 or information can be passed anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
