DRUNKEN Steven Holman assaulted his step-sister during a festive family party at her Chatteris home.
Holman grabbed Natalie Dilley's hair and punched her twice on the top of her head.
Earlier on December 30, Holman became rowdy and abusive, and was taken off to the pub, Fenland magistrates were told.
He returned to the party venue, and was abusive and aggressive.
"Most of the people at the party were affected by drink," said solicitor Roger Glazebrook. "There was some abuse and name calling going on."
A qualified car technician, Holman, 20, of Westbourne Close, Chatteris, was ordered to carry out 60 hours' unpaid community work, pay £75 compensation and £60 costs.
