A man in his 60s is in hospital with serious injuries after he was assaulted in a Fen village.

Police were called to Marsh Road, Outwell, last Thursday at about 8.15pm following reports that a man had been found inside a property with serious injuries.

A Norfolk Police spokesman said: “The victim, a man aged in his 60s, was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (in King’s Lynn) for treatment where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

“Enquiries are continuing to establish the circumstances around the incident and anyone with information should contact King’s Lynn CID on 101 or call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.”
