Man in his 20s injured and taken to hospital after two-vehicle collision near Whittlesey

A man in his 20s was taken to hospital with multiple injuries after a crash near Whittlesey this morning.
Magpas doctor Scott Knapp and paramedic Steve Chambers landed at the A605 east of Whittlesey via the Magpas Air Ambulance at 8.20am.
They had been called to treat a man who had been injured in a collision between two vehicles.
The Magpas enhanced medical team assessed the patient and gave him advanced pain relief at the scene (providing him with A&E level care). They then airlifted the man to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge. He was in a stable condition upon arrival.
The helicopter crew who flew the medical team and patient were pilot Andy Figg and crewmember Lee Kennedy.
In a separate incident on Sunday, a man in his 50s was taken to hospital after sustaining a serious leg injury in a fall near Chatteris.
