A man has been taken to hospital after he trapped his arm in machinery at a factory near Whittlesey today.
The man, in his 30s, is in a serious but stable condition after suffering “life-changing” arm injuries.
The East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust (EEAST) received several 999 calls at about 11.10am.
An ambulance service spokesman said: “The man, who is believed to be in his 30s, caught his arm in a piece of machinery, causing serious injury to the arm and significant blood loss.
“An ambulance, an ambulance officer and Magpas Helimedix attended the incident, with medics assessing and treating the casualty at the scene before he was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital by land ambulance.”
At 11:25am, Magpas Helimedix (doctor Tristan Dyer and paramedic Chris Hawkins) arrived at the scene via the Magpas Helimedix Air Ambulance.
They stabilised the patient and accompanied him to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in a land ambulance.
