Man injured after car crashes into ditch in Wimblington

A man was injured after his car left the road and ended up in a ditch in Wimblington yesterday.

At 4.50pm, police and fire crews were called to a road traffic collision in Blue Lane.

A car was in a non water-filled ditch and firefighters rescued the man using stabilising and cutting equipment. They left him in the care of the ambulance service.

He was taken to Peterborough City Hospital with a “minor” injury.

Crews returned to their stations by 5.50pm.
