A MAN lost a white envelope containing a substantial amount of cash in March town centre - and has pleaded for its return.

Bill Crumly, of Wimblington, believes he lost the envelope between 11am and noon on Friday.

“I think I lost it somewhere in Sainsbury’s car park,” he said. “I only walked over to the dry cleaners (Goldcrest in Robingoodfellow’s Lane) and it wasn’t in my pocket when I got there.”

Mr Crumly said Sainsbury’s has not been handed an envelope. He has reported the loss to police.

Anyone who discovers the envelope should hand it in to March police station.
