A man has pleaded not guilty to murdering his partner in Peterborough earlier this year.
Vytautas Jokubauskas, 57, of Mayor’s Walk, Peterborough, appeared at The Old Bailey this morning (Friday 4) after being charged with murdering 42-year-old Ramute Butkiene.
Jokubauskas did however plead guilty to manslaughter and preventing a lawful and decent burial.
Ramute’s torso was discovered at a property in Mayor’s Walk on the afternoon of Friday June 5.
A trial has been scheduled for November 11 at Southwark Crown Court. Jokubauskas remains in police custody until this time.
